Are you a fishing buff? The world famous Indian River lagoon contains over 4000
species of plants and animals. Visitors can learn about marine life in this
ecosystem
and can see various fish such as tarpon, drum, snook, spotted sea trout, and
more.
If you enjoy saltwater fishing, you will find catches of sailfish, wahoo, cobia, tuna,
and swordfish. Snapper and grouper can be found in the natural and artificial
reefs just off of the Port St. Lucie coast.

cultural activities, you can find plenty of these in Port St. Lucie as well. Tradition
Field is spring training home of the New York Mets. The St. Lucie Mets, a minor
league baseball team, has its summer home here.
